New York NY (SN) – A U.S. District Judge has ruled that Martin Shkreli will not be ordered to give up his $3 Josh Hoyer EP as part of his fraud conviction.
The mockingly dubbed ‘Pharma Bro’ who became infamous for jacking up the price of a life-saving drug known as Daraprim by about 5,000 percent, was found guilty of defrauding investors out of more than $10 million after mismanaging monies at three hedge funds and lying to investors.
Shkreli famously bought the only living copy of a Wu-Tang Clan album for two million dollars back in 2015 that will be seized along with $7.36 million in assets and the seven year prison sentencing.
“No. The Government has no plans for Mr. Shkreli to forfeit his copy of “The End Of The Night” EP by Josh Hoyer,” U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto told reporters. “Man I really liked that guy on the Voice. Really unfortunate he didn’t make it longer.”

Long time songwriter Josh Hoyer of Lincoln, Nebraska, made headlines last year as he performed on competitive singing show, “The Voice.” After wowing judges in the blind auditions with a performance of “Oh Girl” by the Chi-Lites, Hoyer was sadly eliminated in the battle rounds to a singer from Virginia named “TSoul.”
Martin Shreli’s representatives, who wanted to admit now that his sentencing was complete, that he is a “total choad,” had no comment as to how (or why) he acquired the soul singer’s EP, but mentioned that he had “been on a cross country cocaine binge since the Daraprim cash started flowing” and the odds of him stumbling randomly into a Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal tour date were “plausible.”
